About Christus Victor
Christus Victor Trinitarian Community
Engaging Our Theology with the Culture of Our Day
“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins…”
—Luke 5:37–38
“…because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit…”
—Romans 5:5
Our Theological Paradigm
How do we, as lovers and children of God, bear witness to Christ and His kingdom in today’s culture?
This is the question that shapes our life and witness:
Are we truly captivated by the love of the Triune God?
Theological Engagement 1
Encountering the Consuming Love of Jesus
We seek to:
-
Profoundly appreciate the deep, consuming love of Jesus — personally, communally, and relationally.
-
Reflect on the meaning of Christian community in our lives.
-
Live out an affective theology—a faith rooted in the emotional and relational depth of God's love.
Reflection Questions:
-
What is the “consuming love” of Jesus?
-
How deeply am I experiencing God's love daily?
-
What does Christian community truly mean to me?
-
How is my heart being transformed by God's love?
Embrace the Cross
Song by Steve Green
Embrace the Cross where Jesus suffered.
Though it costs all you claim as yours,
Your sacrifice is small beside the treasure
Eternity can’t measure—
What Jesus holds in store.
Embrace the love the Cross requires,
Cling to the One whose heart knew everything.
Receive from Jesus fountains of compassion—
Only He can fashion
Your heart to move like His.
Embrace the Life that comes from dying,
Come trace the steps the Savior walked for you.
An empty tomb concludes Golgotha’s sorrow,
Endure, then, till tomorrow—
The Cross of Suffering.
Theological Engagement 2
Pledging Faithful Allegiance
We commit to:
-
Dedicated allegiance to our Triune God
-
Unwavering loyalty to Christ’s bride, the Church
-
Wholehearted participation in His kingdom
Theological Engagement 3
Missional and Intercultural Incarnation of the Word
We intentionally seek to incarnate the Word by engaging culture with the living presence of Christ.
Reflection Questions:
-
How am I meaningfully communicating Jesus in today’s society?
-
How am I engaging my community and my spheres of influence to reflect Christ and the transformative journey into Imago Dei?
Our Mission
We are committed to cultivating Christ-centered communities that passionately proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rooted in biblical orthodoxy and a Trinitarian vision of God, we engage culture thoughtfully and faithfully—pursuing the Great Commission and embodying the Great Commandment.
Proclaiming both the Cross and the Empty Tomb, we carry a balanced, life-transforming message that reflects the personal, relational, and communal nature of our Triune God.
Together, we seek to usher in the life-giving hope of God’s Kingdom in a broken world.

Pastor Ronaldo “Aldo” A. Sison
About Me
I came to know the Lord Jesus on May 16, 1988, at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, where I also began my journey of discipleship through the Philippine Navigators. Baptized in 1989, I developed a lifelong passion for teaching and mentoring young believers to disciple others.
My calling to full-time ministry began during a Discipleship Conference in 1989 and deepened through years of involvement in campus and church ministries, including UP Diliman and PhilRice. After moving to Canada in 1995, I served at Peel International Baptist Church and later helped plant churches under CPMI.
In 2007, following God’s leading, my family and I moved to Portland, Oregon, where I pursued theological studies at Multnomah Biblical Seminary. We returned to Mississauga in 2010 and launched the Christus Victor Trinitarian Community in 2011—a church-planting and theological training initiative endorsed by Vision Ministries Canada.
In 2016, I was commissioned by Vision Ministries Canada to serve as Pastor, Trainer, and Discipler among Filipino churches in Ontario. Together with my wife Jing, we minister to young professionals and students, equipping them to engage culture theologically.
We are blessed with two children: Karen-Luz, a journalism graduate working at World Vision Canada, and Isaiah-John, a theatre arts and music major. I enjoy reading, gardening, playing basketball and chess with my son, and reflecting on God’s steadfast love—reminded daily by our dog, Hesed.
I live by Galatians 2:20 and Psalm 73:26, and am inspired by the hymn Living for Jesus and the songs Power of Your Love and Oceans.
